Oh, The Places We’ll Go!

I have finally shaken off the post-christmas fog and the winter cold and I feel ready for an exciting year ahead. Emptied my studio of old things, broken things and rehomed sundries I no longer need. It feels good to be being prepared for the upcoming year.

My bulbs are pushing their first green shoots through and I’m driving to site visits at new venues we’re working at this summer. The title of this article is a book by Dr Seuss, one of my oldest friends gave it to me when I moved to Spain after uni, it felt right for the week we’re having!

I wanted to highlight some of the gorgeous venues we’ll be visiting this year, lots of new ones, whilst I haven’t listed them all, this year is full of heaps of wildly wonderful romantic destinations.

Sudeley Castle

Nestled in the Cotswold Hills of Gloucestershire, Sudeley Castle offers couples a timeless and romantic setting for their special day. With its elegant architecture, royal heritage, and enchanting gardens, it provides an unforgettable backdrop for weddings. This wedding will be timeless with curated colour and opulent flowers.

Pythouse Kitchen Garden

Tucked away in the charming village of Tisbury, the Pythouse Kitchen Garden is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Wiltshire countryside. With its picturesque gardens, quaint outbuildings, and enchanting greenhouse, the Pythouse Kitchen Garden offers couples a unique and charming backdrop for their special day. We’re looking forward to lots of wild english garden flowers here to match their beautiful food!

Polhawn Fort

Nestled on the rugged Cornish coast, Polhawn Fort offers couples a stunning and secluded setting for their wedding day. With its dramatic cliffs, sweeping sea views, and historic fortifications, this unique venue exudes romance and charm. This wedding will have a show-stopping arch overlooking the view and then a gorgeous suspended cloud in their clearspan marquee.

Hamswell House

Situated amidst the serene countryside of Somerset, Hamswell House provides couples with a tranquil and elegant setting for their wedding day. With its timeless Georgian architecture, lush gardens, and sweeping views of the rolling hills, this historic estate offers a picture-perfect backdrop for exchanging vows and celebrating love. We will be making a dramatic ground arch here for the couple’s outdoor ceremony that will honour and compliment the gorgeous grounds.

Larmer Tree

Located in the heart of the picturesque Dorset countryside, Larmer Tree Gardens hasancient woodlands, tranquil lakes, and ornate Victorian buildings, this historic venue exudes charm and romance. The ceremony will be in front of the ornate Roman Temple with a long walkway of timeless white meadows, the interior of Larmer Tree is just as beautiful as the exterior - and we hope to see the Peafowl!
